Presented at a public meeting co-sponsored by the Fukuoka City Association of Atomic Bomb Survivors, the Chikushi Association of Atomic Bomb Survivors, and the Never Again Campaign, Fukuoka, April 18, as well as at a number of other locations.
"Canadian Drama Since the 1960s." Presented as part of a panel discussion on Canadian drama in Japan with Takehisa Kaiyama and Show Ryuzanji, theatre directors, and Yoshi Yoshihara, translator, moderated by Professor Ayako Sato, at Meiji Gakuin University, Tokyo, May 20.

Denyse Lynde and Paul O'Neill continue with On Stony Ground, a commemorative pageant to be staged in the Anglican Cathedral of St. John's, Nfld. on May 27, 28 and 29.  Joining the cast of performers that range from 7 to 85 are Cantus Vocum, a prestigious Newfoundland Chamber choir under the leadership of Chad Stride, the technical staff of the St. John's Arts and Culture Centre, and the technical staff of CAMS (the video unit from Memorial University),  Of special interest to theatre researchers is the fact that the Cathedral holds a massive amount of original archival material including the original drawings for the first Cathedral building. We are placing all of this material on video and screening this material  during the production on a series of monitors placed throughout the Cathedral.
If anyone is out east at the end of May, we hope you come down to see this multi media extravaganza.  If not, watch for it on VISION T.V. who are coming in to St. John's production to do some taping.

According to a recent issue of the UT Bulletin, Ann Saddlemyer is going to be awarded an honorary degree  by the University of Toronto in the June convocation ceremonies. In fact,  Bill Hutt is also receiving an honorary degree in June.
