Announcing a New Book Series: Call for Manuscripts

"Dramaturgies"

Published by PIE/Peter Lang S.A. (Presses interuniversitaires européennes), Brussels; Series editor: Marc Maufort

This new series, subtitled "Texts, Cultures and Performances," will publish innovative research work in the field of twentieth- century dramaturgy, primarily in the anglophone and francophone worlds. Its main purpose will be to re-assess the complex relationship between textual studies, cultural and performance aspects at the dawn of this new multicultural millenium. The editor will welcome manuscripts dealing with the following topics: reconsiderations of established playwrights in the light of contemporary critical theories, studies of the interface between theatre practice and textual analysis, drama and multiculturalism, studies of marginalized theatrical practices (circus, vaudeville etc...), postcolonial drama, new modes of dramatic and theatrical expressions and comparative drama studies. Works on dramatic theory (including theatre semiology) will also be considered. Manuscripts, written in English or in French, will comprise monographs, collections of essays, revised doctoral theses, high-quality Festschrifts and bibliographies.
