Theatre Research in Canada/Recherches théàtrales
au Canada is conducting a search for a new editorship, for a three
year term beginning July 2002. The journal’s Management Board would
be interested in suggestions and volunteers for this position from the
membership of the Association for Canadian Theatre Research/ Association
de la recherche théàtrale au Canada.
The editor(s) would be responsible for the content of the journal during this period, in consultation with an Executive Editor. The journal has an office at the Graduate Centre for Study of Drama, University of Toronto, which, under the supervision of the Executive Editor, will handle subscriptions, technical production, and distribution, and provide administrative assistance to the new editor(s). For this reason, geography and institutional support should not be an issue in considering prospective editors.
Members of ACTR/ARTC are welcome to volunteer their own names, or to suggest the names of other members whom they believe have the skills to serve in this position. A brief statement concerning qualifications should accompany the name. Any suggestions will be handled in confidence by the Management Board, which will follow up on the list of nominations. The Management Board has representation from the ACTR/ARTC Executive directly, and everyone involved is a member of the Association.
All communication, including nominations, suggestions, and questions
related to this announcement, should be directed toward Stephen Johnson,
Chair of the Management Board, TRIC/RTC, by April 30, 2002, by email at
